Carina is the new Vice President, Strategy and Operations at the Cyber Risk Institute. She previously worked at the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy and has a strong background in public opinion and social listening research from extensive time at a public opinion firm in D.C. She has trained and consulted numerous progressive campaigns and leaders on how to counter mis/disinformation, online propaganda, and foreign influence, using innovative digital organizing strategies that she developed and shared in prominent publications. She is passionate about global politics and has experience working abroad in Central Europe, the Caribbean, and Africa. While getting her Masters of International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs she worked for Professor Jason Healey on cybersecurity regulation harmonization and the intersection of market failures and cyberspace. She also has a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University.
