CRI Expands to Include Financial Sector Community Leaders

CRI welcomes AWS, KPMG, Palo Alto Networks, ServiceNow into its Innovator Program

Washington, D.C.—The Cyber Risk Institute (CRI) is pleased to welcome several key participants in the financial sector community into its expanding Innovator and Affiliate Programs. These industry leaders include Amazon Web Services, KPMG, Palo Alto Networks, and ServiceNow into CRI’s Innovator Program, each providing a unique voice and perspective to help shape the future of cyber risk assessment.

“Each of these companies are critical to ensuring the CRI Profile is available for use in third-party assessments and software offerings. By doing so, they recognize the growing demand for the CRI Profile and its utility,” said Josh Magri, CRI President.

CRI established the Innovator and Affiliate programs to meet the growing demand for the CRI Profile by offering companies opportunities to work with CRI and its members on the art and discipline of cyber risk assessment.

“Joining the Cyber Risk Institute’s Innovator Program signifies our shared commitment to advancing cyber risk assessment in the financial sector. Through collaboration and supporting industry adoption of the CRI Profile, we aim to enhance the precision and effectiveness of cyber risk assessments, empowering financial institutions to navigate the evolving cyber landscape with confidence,” said Matt Miller, Principal of Cyber Security Services at KPMG.

Aneesh Bhatnagar, Head of Risk Products at ServiceNow, highlighted, “Financial institutions are under increasing regulatory pressure and looking for a simplified approach to meet their compliance goals. By partnering with CRI, ServiceNow is helping these organizations drive resilience enterprise-wide by condensing 2500+ regulations into 318 controls that can be addressed by a single assessment questionnaire from CRI.”

In 2023, CRI welcomed X-Analytics, Axio, NRI Secure Technologies, Ostrich Cyber-Risk, and Palo Alto Networks into the Innovator Program, and Cyber-Quant into its Affiliate Program. These programs are open to any company supporting financial institutions that use the CRI Profile.
