Madilyn Cancro

Vice President of Strategy and Operations

Madilyn Cancro is the Vice President of Strategy and Operations at the Cyber Risk Institute (CRI), where she supports the organization’s strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations across membership engagement, regulatory engagement, partnerships, and communications. In this role, she works with CRI leadership to translate organizational strategy into execution and supports engagement with financial institutions, regulators, and ecosystem partners.

Prior to joining CRI, Madilyn served as Research Manager at the Center for Audit Quality, where she led stakeholder engagement and conducted in-depth research with key stakeholder groups, including public company auditors, institutional investors, and audit committee members.

Earlier in her career, Madilyn worked in polling at GQR and held roles across nonprofit and public sector organizations, including Families USA, the Equity in Infrastructure Project (EIP), the National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum (NAPAWF), and the Scottish Parliament.

Madilyn holds a B.A. in Political Science from Villanova University, as well as minors in Theology and Business. She holds a Masters in International and European Politics and a Masters in Political Research from the University of Edinburgh. Madilyn conducted postgraduate research on social movements, Scottish independence, election communications, and policy at the University of Glasgow and Policy Scotland.
