Patricia “Patty” Voight is the Chief Information Security Officer for Webster Financial Corporation, and the CISO and Head of Technology Risk for Webster Bank. She aligns cybersecurity, technology risk, and business strategy to enable growth, operational resilience, and digital trust in an increasingly AI-driven and interconnected financial ecosystem.
Since joining Webster in January 2024, Patty leads enterprise cybersecurity strategy, protecting information assets while managing technology and cyber risk. She ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data while advancing operational resilience—enabling the business to operate through disruption and recover with trusted data.
Patty partners closely with executive leadership and the board of directors to translate complex, emerging cyber risks into clear, measurable business impact—positioning cybersecurity as a strategic enabler of trust, performance, and growth. Her approach reflects a shift from control maturity to resilience and adaptability, helping organizations operate securely at the speed of business.
She has extensive global experience across highly regulated financial institutions, supporting organizations including Citigroup, Bank of America, Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo, AIG, IBM, and Verizon. She has held leadership roles across all Three Lines of Defense and specializes in navigating risk landscapes shaped by AI, third-party dependencies, and evolving regulatory expectations.
Prior to Webster, Patty was a Managing Director at Ernst & Young LLP, serving as the Technology Risk, Integrated Cybersecurity, and Privacy Leader for the Americas. A recognized industry leader, Patty contributes to global standards shaping cybersecurity and digital trust. She is a contributing author to ISACA publications including the Digital Trust Ecosystem Framework (DTEF) and COBIT 2019 and serves on advisory boards focused on Securing AI and Emerging Trends.
Her work focuses on emerging risks including AI, ecosystem risk, cyber resilience, quantum disruption, and geopolitical threats. Patty serves on the Board of Directors for the Cyber Risk Institute and participates in industry groups including FS-ISAC, InfraGard, Team8 CISO Village, and global CISO forums.
She is committed to developing the next generation of cybersecurity talent through mentorship and academic partnerships, including support for neurodiverse communities. She is passionate about helping organizations protect their purpose while confidently pursuing innovation in a rapidly evolving world.
