CRI Launches Two New Programs to Support the Financial Sector Ecosystem

CRI’s Affiliate Program will increase access to the Profile in the marketplace, and CRI’s Innovator Program will grow the CRI ecosystem.

Washington, D.C.–November 17, 2022. The Cyber Risk Institute (CRI) announced today two key programs to meet the growing demand for the CRI Profile* in the financial sector ecosystem. These new programs will offer companies opportunities to work with CRI and its members to advance the art and discipline of cyber risk assessment.

The CRI Affiliate Program will increase the ease with which financial institutions of all sizes and in all locations can use the CRI Profile. The CRI Affiliate Program is designed for industry leaders who would like to license the Profile for commercial purposes, thereby increasing the use and access of the Profile in the marketplace. This benefits the entire financial sector ecosystem by enabling financial institutions to use the Profile in the system of their choosing.

The CRI Innovator Program was established to provide leaders in the financial services industry with the ability to become a part of the growing CRI ecosystem. CRI Innovators will be invited to participate in select events with CRI members and groups that shape the Profile’s development. CRI Innovators can also license the CRI Profile and Workbook and work with CRI on marketing and promotional opportunities.

“We have seen increased uptake of the Profile around the world, and this is the next step in ensuring that the Profile is the standard for cybersecurity regulatory assessments,” said Josh Magri, CRI President. “We are excited to accelerate the Profile’s growth by providing consulting firms, software companies, and service providers the ability to use the Profile for their customers’ needs for the first time and to join our growing network to advance cybersecurity.”

CRI also welcomed its first CRI Innovator—X-Analytics, which is enabling cyber resilience through its cyber risk decisioning platform. CRI is looking forward to announcing future CRI Innovators and Affiliates. To learn more, please contact CRI at membership@cyberriskinstitute.org
